Undocumented Alien searching higher education?
I live in Massachusetts. I came from Brazil when I was 4. I have been under process for legalization for four years now. However at the moment I am still undocumented. I will be graduated high school and want to pursue higher education. Can I apply for college? What should I expect? I understand financial aid is almost impossible to obtain but disregarding financial aid what are my options? What schools in Massachusetts or out of state that do accept undocumented aliens coming from Massachusetts schools?

And to actually give you some advice: Many local community colleges have ways with dealing with undocumented aliens, I know ours had. I would contact one near you and explain your situation. You might be able to enroll at least part time while you are still in the process. They will probably ask for some documentation such as confirmation letters from the INS, though. You can transfer to a four year college later. Good luck with both your school and legalization.

You can apply, but you’ll have to go through more paperwork as unless you become an American before you apply, you’ll have to apply as a foreign citizen. The price will be higher, but they should still let you apply. I would go to a local college registration department and ask.
This applies for almost every school across the country. The easiest schools to get in for foreign students are typically community colleges, and it may be easier for you since you have a diploma from an American school.

Hopefully there aren’t any schools that accept illegal aliens. I don’t mean this as a direct attack on you, but we are already giving illegals too many oppourtunities in this country.
