transfer to GWU, BU, or NYU?

My high school transricpt and SAT’s are not impressive, but since I’ve been at college I have gotten very motivated and my situation is a much different. Currently, at my present school (Southern CT), I am averaging about a 3.7 gpa. I am active in Pre-Law Society and Habitat for Humanity, I’ve played guitar for 9 years, and i’m giving up next summer for volunteer work in Costa Rica. Do you think I have a shot as a junior year Poli Sci major?

GWU or BU probably. NYU is crazy hard. I go to Northwestern and they actually take a lot of transfers who have potential even though it’s a very selective school. Just look on the school websites and good luck!

Most good school do not take very many transfers (Harvard took ZERO this past year). NYU doesn’t take many, and it is the number 1 “dream” school in the US. So go for it, but do not count on it.
