Suggestions for an affordable regionally accredited college?

I am looking for an affordable, regionally accredited on-line or correspondence college to finish my BS degree. I need something that only charges about $600 or less per class. Is there anything out there like that? I am trying to avoid the nationally accredited schools at all costs. Thank you for your help.

The “Big Three” will have the best price start-to-finish in most cases. All are regionally accredited.

Excelsior College http://www.excelsior.edu

Charter Oak State College http://www.cosc.edu

Thomas Edison State College http://www.tesc.edu

You won’t likely want to take their classes though – there are less expensive options available and they will take 100% transfer. They also accept very high amounts of test-out (CLEP, DANTES, ECE) exam credit.

I recommend taking online classes at Louisiana State indep. study and at Brigham Young Univ. indep. study and transferring those to one of the Big Three to finish off the degree.

$600 per class is $200 per semester hour and is pretty low for most schools offering online courses. Check with your state universities as you’ll get in-state tuition there.

Good luck – learn cool stuff!
