my mom is a speech and language therapist or a “speech pathologist” she has her masters degree and makes about $60,000 Canadian per year.

It depends on if your planning to have your own practice or if you plan to work for a hospital, state public health, or an independant school district. Obviously, the private practice will produce the most income, but it would be most beneficial for your career to do some time employed by a larger entity. Good luck!
