Sociology Degree helpppppp?

I want to study a sociology degree next year but i have heard many people degrading this degree. If i do this degree will I end up wasting my time? Because at some point i do want to work in america and from what people are saying about this degree it will basically waste my time and money.

Also how far can i get in life with this degree or is it best me taking it as a combined degree?

If you are really interested in majoring in sociology, you should do it. But you should also probably pick another major and double major in something like business.

Sociology is very interesting, but it may not be very helpful in getting a job after college.
