Required education for management consultants?
I noticed that the MBA is the typical route people take before becoming a management consultant (in particular top 10 consulting firms in the world). Do management consulting firms hire LLB/JDs, PhDs, etc?

I started as a consultant this summer without an MBA but I’m working with a smaller company and have a lot of experience and a specialty they were seeking. The top firms usually require an MBA if you are applying for their management consulting area but have other areas where they need different specialties and qualifications. As an example, Accenture’s website has a list of skills for which they recruit.
