Is there another university in the area that you could go to?

If not, then attend a community college for a period of time to get your grades back up to par. 1-2 years is a good length of time and get all your prerequisites out the way. You will not only bring your GPA back up but when you go to the university, you have taken many of the lower division courses. Lastly, make sure whatever you take at the community college will transfer over so you dont have to take them again.

If that happens, if the college cares, they usually send you a note. Unless it’s in their application materials that you must maintain that GPA at all times, and not just by the time of application. I wouldn’t worry too much unless they notify you. If you’re really scared, you can call and ask the school. Don’t have to necessarily give them your name. Just pose a “what if” question to the admissions staff.

just like everyone else has been saying, go to a community college for two years.

you’ll find it’s more towards your level, because honestly, you are only hurting yourself if you try and go to a higher college when you aren’t ready. also, it’ll save you money, and then when you transfer, they won’t even look at your high school transcript or scores.

Enroll at a local community or junior college for a couple of semesters. Pull your grades up, then apply to your desired school(s).
