if i wanted to be a highlly paid contractor what degree should i persue in college?

You mean as in building contractor.
You have to work in the industry and take select college courses as required. But most if it is working unders supervision with letters or recomendation for a period of years.
Look up the laws for Contractors in your state and see what they say. They usually list the college courses required but they still want OJT for like 5 years or more.
