Question about college application/race?

Hi…

I have a question about college applications and race… I know about quotas and all that stuff so… hypothetically, if I am white and I indicated I was black or another minority on all my college applications, would this increase my chances of getting in? If they found out some how, what wold be the penalty for this? I am just curious about this, thanks.

Stating that you are black does not give you automatic access – believe me, I would know. And, when they find out that you falsified your college application (and believe me they will) you will automatically be denied access to the university.

Tell the truth and rests on your own merits for admission. That is the best strategy.

If they found out, you would most likely be blacklisted from the college and could find yourself having trouble getting accepted into other colleges if the original college communicates with others.

There have been many stories where applicants have lied on their resume, and get accepted, only to have the college find out and revoke the acceptance. Colleges will look at applicants more closely AFTER they have been accepted, but this particular lie is extremely dangerous and should not be done.

If you weren’t caught, and you have as strong credentials as the majority, then yes you would have a better chance. But that’s a risk I would never take.

Well I can tell you that I won’t help (let’s be realistic – it may hinder you). You need to just do research and see what school will most likely accept you for who you are – period.

Lying on your application is grounds for immediate dismissal. You could try to apply where being white might give you an edge – at a traditional black college, you’d be the minority there.

Apparently you don’t know all about quotas since the use of quotas in college admissions is unconstitutional. And lying on your college application is grounds for dismissal from every university in the country.

i’m presently in college. i’m a senior at Texas State college majoring in scientific laboratory technology, (a.ok.a. scientific technologies) we are people who function, and supervise scientific institution laboratories, reference labs, and blood banks. We try to examine all the stuff that could come out of, or infect your physique. Oh and that i ought to show, this is the only right decision i’ve got ever made. I rather LOVE what I do! I help save lives accepted. i think needed, and that i’m getting to apply my recommendations accepted. Plus, financial risk-free practices is an advantage.

Not really. They would find out (it’s not even a possibility that they won’t, so don’t say they might not), and you would be automatically expelled from the school. You would have a hard time getting into another college with that listed.
