PLLZZ Help::: Business or Medical Schoo???!?

I’m a senior and narrowed my choices, my gpa is very high and parents will pay for my univ. tuition. However:

I’m stuck in choosing which career:

-Medical school (doctor) takes too much years of univ, no life, and kinda frustrating, BUT BIG BUCKS in the end,,but too much studying, have great memorizing skills but kinda lazy when it comes to studying

-Business has unlimited potential, sounds better to me, but salaries for graduates kinda scares me off (40-60k)

ANYWAYS I inted to open my own (seriously aiming to become millionaire), i plan on working several years and saving or investing enough money to start on my own, I’m am very social and have unlimited determination and willpower to do whatever it takes

——but i think if i get experience in business it help me open my own which is better]

——But i have to consider possibilities: what if my business doesnt work out? Becoming a doctor is less risk but all millionaire took risks..

I SERIOUSLY WANNA BECOME A MILLIONAIRE

If you arent sure what to do the best choice would be medical school. Most people in the business world have been planning it from the day they were born. Dont give it a second thought go straight to medical school. All the best.

It seems like either way (whether you start studying to become a doctor or try your own business) you are making a risk.

If you are lazy it doesn’t make sense to become a doctor because you will be spending many nights awake studying.

If you really want to be a millionaire you should go where the money is, which is business. And it sounds better to you which is the way to go since you have to want this. If you don’t want to be a doctor or you don’t want it as much as business school, then it makes no sense to spend 10 years of your life learning to be one.

Hopefully this helps. (I’m also in the same predicament but I am 98% sure that I will be going for what I love to do)

Salaries for business graduates scare you, but keep in mind that aspiring doctors make little money through residency. It sounds like your only interest in medicine is for the money – that may not sustain you through all the trials and tribulations that aspiring doctors go through, especially since you describe yourself as kind of lazy. You may be better off going to business school, getting a few years of work experience and then getting an MBA from a major program if your grades hold up. Also keep in mind that college is very different from high school! I’ve seen many people who were top high schoolers end up struggling in college because they thought that they could continue to coast.

Go for the business degree. Doctors don’t really make as much money as you think, unless they’re very specialized – ie: Beverly Hills plastic surgeon. They often gross maybe $200k a year, but remember the doctors pay a LOT of the expenses at clinics, and malpractice insurance can be $50k a year or higher. So a doctor’s take-home is probably the same as the business salaries you’re looking at. With business, you can get into a company and make $50k a year starting out, make good investments, later start your own business, and maybe in 10 years or so you can make your assets total over $1 million or more.

In my own opinion, you shouldn’t care so much about money. It won’t make you happy, believe me, I know.

You seem very much suited for business school. By the way you write about it, you look like you’ve already made a decision. For one thing, you really are interested in making a lot of money. Medicine takes a lot of patience and studying. It’s not about making money but about saving lives. However, making money in business takes a lot of risks and hard work. If you are determined to make money, you will. On an even playing field, only the lazy starve.
