To become a registered as a CCRN, do I just go through 4 years of nursing to get my bachelor’s, and then go get licsenced as CCRN, or do I need an additional 4 years of nursing school after I get my bachelor’s to get a master’s and then get my CCRN?…How does that work?…How do I do it?

CCRN is a specialization of an RN. You do not need a BSN in order to become a CCRN.

However, if you plan to move up the ladder into Nurse Management, you will need a BSN or higher.

Becoming a CCRN usually requires 2+ years of floor eperience on a Med Surg unit. Some programs, however, welcome new grad RNs into their programs, so it just depends on where you will do your training.

Your bachelor’s degree is the ony one that should take 4 years. Your Master’s degree will take 1-2 years, depending on your thesis/project.

A PhD will usually take 4-5 only because it requires research and planning, data analysis, etc. It is more for those who want to become Nurse Scientists or do research in some field.

IMO they’re each the identical in crisis handiest med university takes longer. Unlike a few posters are claiming nurses do recognize the motive why they’re doing matters and the way medications paintings. I am consistently demonstrated in my nursing university on drug movements, interactions, opposed reactions risk-free dose levels ect… Nurses regardless that do furnish extra direct care in contrast to television could have you ever consider. Nurse are typically those instructing approximately easy methods to hinder disorder easy methods to deal with disorder and easy methods to take your drugs. Doctors spend five mins with you nurses are there with you for the duration of your entire keep. Pick whether or not you desire to be extra of the last sayer (a MD) or a supplier of care and compassion. edit: Medstudent definitely has now not been in med university very lengthy or he could become aware of nurses are the person who name the medical professional while lab values are out of wack or while a pt is decomping and a nurse double tests to be certain meds are ordered properly. we’re the ones that experience pt deep breath and cough and ambulate and track their situation during the night time, now not medical professionals. Hopefully medstudent while you come to be a medical professional you’ll be exceptional in your nurses reason they’ll make your existence as a medical professional dwelling poo if youre now not. Edit: shellie, i simply love their feedback, confidently i can paintings with them after they graduate and may have the pride calling them ever five mins for the duration of the night time to invite them what i will have to be doing in view that i definitely don’t care why or what i do as a nurse :))))))

well, as it goes, the higher of education you get, the longer time you will need..you dont need a bachelor to become a registered nurse, because a diploma will do..=)

bachelor, instead, is considered as higer level of education for you after you have completed your diploma..
