MBA Admission Questions- Please Read?

I have a few questions. I am almost done with my BS degree in Marketing. I definitely want to go onto a good mba program down the line after working 2-4 years. Here is my background information. I went to a community college and got my AA in Business Administration. Transferred to a small, 4 year private university and now currently have a 3.45 GPA. I have 2 classes left to fulfill grad requirements. What I am wondering is if I stand just as good of a chance getting into an MBA program. I know I went to a comm college first, but I did transfer and finish bachelors at 4 year. Does this matter? I understand programs look at gpa, GMAT, and work experience. What are my chances as long as my gpa stays at this point and I score highly on the GMAT? Feedback appreciated.

i think as long as you get a good score on the GMAT and keep your gpa up, you should have a good shot. i don’t think the fact that you went to a community college will matter too much because you transfered to a 4 year university.

It will not matter that you transferred from a community college to a private university.

I think that you will be able to get into a good MBA program with your GPA and good GMAT scores. However, I doubt that you will make it into the top tier (Stanford, MIT, UMich., etc.) programs. You never know, you might as well try for those programs, if you want and have the money to attend these schools.

Good luck.
