Pro: Journalism

You sound like you really have the personality and skill to be an excellent journalist. If you really enjoy speaking and writing, then the fact that journalism is a VERY competitive field should be of no worry to you. My advice is to join your school newspaper of speech team or television studio at your high school. You’ll never know if you love something, or just love the IDEA of something until you try it.

Pro: Nursing

There is a SEVERE shortage of nurses. if you became a nurse, you would pretty much be guaranteed a job for the rest of your life. It is also a rewarding profession. Take biology and see if you are interested in the subject matter, because to be a nurse means studing biology 24/7

Con: Nursing

It’s a very stressful and tiring job. Consider volunteering at your local hospital for next summer, to get an accurate picture of nursing

Follow your heart! Don’t let things like money or glamor influence what you choose to do. Remember, you have pleanty of time to research your career choices, so take the time to do so! Also remember that the most common major among freshman college students is “undecided.”
