It really depends on your specific university. Mine has two dance teams, one that competes with the band, and one that does performances for various campus events. I know a few people who organized their own “dance club” meetings amongst their friends and friends of their friends, so keep that in mind as well. Just check out your schools website (student life section), they may already have a dance team, dance club, or something of the sorts. If they don’t though, it usually is not hard to start a new organization. Good luck!

of course you can. Some colleges have amazing teams and only take people with experience but some are not so tough. Choose what school you want to go to and if they have a team then try out for sure and if not you could always try and start your own. Just hire a coach. You should start training/practicing now to be ready for september. Cheerleading is VERY difficult and requires a lot of determination and focus. I’m sure if it is something you really want to do then it will happen. Check for local teams to, some clubs have beginner programs that teach you the basics of cheerleading and they are really fun. Make sure you are energetic, flexible, hard-working and willing to spend time doing practices and competitions. I’m sure you can make the team if you start training now. Who know maybe you were born to do this. You don’t know till you try. Hope this helped and good luck.
