If you’re in the U.S., take the Nursing Boards exam to be licensed in the state in which you wish to work.

Or you could go back to school and get your MSN.

Talk to your college adviser as to what your options are after graduation. They will be able to guide you to the steps you need to take after graduation.

Best wishes!

There are many options for finding a job in your senior year. They have job fairs where they will interview at the University. You can also go visit counselors for their help in finding a position. There are usually job postings posted near the counselors offices. You should have no difficulty since nurses are in such demand.

You need to decide if you only want to work in the same place you live. I know that some states like Florida are desperate for nurses. They would probably pay your relocation fees and give you a nice pay/benefits package.

Just a word of advice,I know that the posts on this site are not work related, however you should get in the practice of using spell-check for everything you write! We all forget sometimes but try to remember!

Good Luck in School and Job Hunting!

I would agree with the others about having to take the exam in order to get your license.

Before you even gradaute, you should make sure you have your resume and cover letter ready for employers. Start looking for hosipitals and other business in health care that hires RN’s. Hopefully your school has a Career Services department. They help you find jobs. If you cant seem to find a job through them, look towards staffing agencies. My mom is a CNA and she works with two agencies. However, it’s kind of like an on-call thing. When ever they have openings they call her and ask if she is available.

The first thing that you must do is pass your licensing tests in order to be able to work as a registered nurse. Then, once you have passed the tests and actually received your license, you apply for jobs or a university in order to pursue a masters degree in nursing.

You wouldn’t be an RN with a bachelor’s degree….you would be a BSN. I am a nursing student going for that exact same degree. There are board examinations that you have to take to be certified in your state. Then fill out applications if you pass that examination.

A course in spelling? Kind of important for any field, but especially important in nursing…can even be critical. As for what you are supposed to do, that is something you will learn in the course of your studies.

You have to take some final test all nursing graduates take. Then apply for jobs.

May I suggest a course on spelling or learning about spell check? I suppose it’s slipped your mind what you just spent four years of your life learning,
