Is it possible at all for me to get into NYU?

Going into my senior year I have a 2.0 Gpa and a 25 act.

I go to if not the, one of the top High schools in illinois,

I work 25+ hours a week

I have many extracurricular things to put on my application

I play varsity sports at my school

I am not going to apply for like their general school, Im going to apply for their Film and TV.

They said I need a resume and a portfolio in which i can come up with

Is there any possible way do you think I can get into NYU?

or if not what other film schools should I try for?

Their film and TV program is one of the best in the country. Possibly tougher to get in there than the genreal school.

All actors should have a resume and/or portfolio. That’s the minimum. Just watch Friends or Married with Children. Even Joey and Kelly had them (albeit fake and/or pathetic).

If you don’t have any of that stuff, there’s really no reason why NYU should take you.

I don’t think so…NYU is like a top college. You need a better GPA. It’s better to start off at a community college and that will help you build up to a better GPA and then you got a good chance in getting in.

your gpa is really going to hurt you, but your act is good and so are your extracurricular activities.so you may have a shot.try to up your gpa as much as possible in the first semester of senior year.

your gpa is way too low. unless you are going to be an athlete at nyu i dont think your chances are very high
