take bio, chemistry, physics, and calculus, at the community college you can major in any subject as long as you have taken the required classes for Medical school. Since you want to be a Peds. you should major in Child Development and a minor in Biology or Chemistry. Or if you r like me major in Biology and minor in Child development. All Med schools specializes in Peds. I am preparing for Med school to become a Pediatrician

I’m having a hard time expertise why you believe you’ll call for that your mothers and fathers pay $10,000s in keeping with yr in order that you journey throughout nation to a college that’s ranked identical in your regional college. There is not anything the problem with UC Davis, and if you happen to have been a California resident it could be a well situation for an schooling – it’s ranked forty seventh within the US. But there may be not anything precise approximately it that offers it one of these massive potential over your Florida faculties. Univ of Florida is tied with it at forty seventh situation! Your college at UCD might be $20,000 extra in keeping with yr, plus the expenses of journey. That is unnecessary. If you had gotten into Stanford, then that could be exclusive! You might claim your self unbiased, pass to California and borrow the $a hundred and forty,000 it’s going to price to wait UC D, however that could be a real dangerous mistake. I desire that you’ll become aware of that your regional college can supply you simply as well an schooling, and that you’re going to be in so much bigger monetary form whilst you get out. A $eighty,000 – $one hundred, 000 change is a massive change.

at the community college, you can just take ur general courses..then transfer to ANY university (it really doesn’t matter as long as you get good grades that would be competitive to get into medical school) and you can major in anything you want…if you do major in biology or nursing, you will be fine b/c you will have taken all your prerequisites for medical school. if you decide not to major in the sciences, then remember to take the required prerequisites (biology classes, chemistry, physics, anatomy and physiology). I know a couple of people who were not biology majors who got into medical school ( them being sociology, psychology, spanish and computer design majors). i tell you that when you’re at the community college and university, maybe you can find a job that would give you more medical experience (get licenssed as a pharmacy tech, or medical assistant). then when you’re a senior at the university (and have all prerequisites done by then) apply to medical school.. but before that, you gotta take the MCAT (like the SAT for medical school)..try to score really high on that…if you don’t get in the first time, try again and again (as medical school is very competitive). then when you’re about to graduate from medical school, that is when you do what is called the “match.” that is where you apply to pedicatric residency programs and interview w/ them. if they accept you, then you’ll become a pediatric resident..and then you do this for a couple of years (i dont know how long the residency program for pediatrics is) and then at the end you take the pediatric exam to get your license! good luck!

When you attend community college I suggest to take General Biology I and II, Human Anatomy I andI II, Microbiology, Chem I and II, Organic Chemistry I and II, Physics I and II, and some advanced Math course.

Basically, you can major in anything and get into medical school but, make sure most of your courses pertain to science and math. Also, make sure you graduate with an extremely high GPA (3.5 and above).

Pediatricians are medical doctors, MDs. You go to college first and then to med school (3 years) and then do a internship and residency in pediatrics.

No undergraduate school offers Pediatrics. You should prepare yourself to get in med school. If they offer Pre-Med, take that set of courses. If they don’t, major in Biology.

Study hard. YOu’ve got to get pretty much straight A’s in order to get in med school. Good luck.
