Screening Interview – Preliminary first interview to screen out as many as possible by phone or in person. Adv-Saves Time Disadv-May have had a cold or bad voice day, etc.
Personal Interview – One on one discussion of the company, your qualifications for a position there, and the position itself. Adv-Oppty to meet face to face at the company and ask as well as answer questions. Disadv-Person doing interview may not know enough about what the job entails or needs and may be biased.
Panel Interview – Several company reps get chance to ask questions of you simultaneously, and answer your questions. Adv-You may get a more well-rounded picture of the company and it may give a fairer assessment of you-multiple viewpts. Disadv-More stress impress and communicate well in a group.
