Talk to your professors about possible options, but it sounds like architecture has a hold on you, so I’d advise approaching a few local architects and begging a few minutes of their time for some input. I suspect most would be happy, flattered even, to offer a bit of advice. With computerized rendering, the actual act of drawing becomes less and less important. You don’t have to be an artistic visionary to train your mind to understand what works well aesthetically, and what doesn’t. It’s a matter of education, and once you have the knowledge I bet you will find that you have developed your own style and sensibility. As Shakespeare said:

Our doubts are traitors,

And make us lose the good we oft might win

By fearing to attempt.

If you’re good at math, try Astronomy. I’m not just saying it because that’s my major too but its so FUN. There are endless possibilities and job opportunities. I’m a college freshman and I already have a few job as the observatories and space centers here on campus. Next week I’m even helping a Laser Optics Group. It’s interesting and I go to the University of Arizona where they’re ranked No. 1 in the country for their space program. I feel proud just to know that they’re doing the Pheonix Mars Mission. Math isn’t what its all about but it would definetly help. Take your usually boring skill and turn it into something exciting.

You have to decide what you are really interested in. I you are good at math there would be many majors. But you don’t like it. So, Find something you do like. Maybe you have a hobby you like. You might be able to turn than into some kind of school course. Also, see a guidance councilor. That’s what they are there for. They can narrow it down by asking the right questions.

Keep the major you have, boring or not.. Because of intensive studying you have to do, once you graduate, you will have the skills to take on any job, that you can handle.. Remember once you have a degree, you are very marketable, because you made it.. That’s what companies want, people whom can go the full nine yards. Graduating with a degree and a high degree as engineering shows you have lots of skills organization and endurance, and that’s what companies want..

Both anesthesiologist and neurologist require that you attend medical school. In order to apply for medical school, you need a 4-year college degree. It can technically be in any subject as long as you pass the medical school entrance exams, the MCATs. But in order to pass those, most people major in bio and chem and take physics and calculus – known as pre-med requirements. You can do these at almost any 4-year college. You usually don’t apply for medical school at the same place you did your undergraduate degree, so don’t worry about medical school for another 8 years or so – get through high school and college first. Good luck!

You should consider accounting. I had a good friend in school that was an Accounting major but hated it. Then she switched to Math and ended up teaching math in high school. Subsequently, she went to grad school and is now a Vice Principal. Not a great deal of money, but she is very happy with her work.

Good luck.

You should choose something that is connected in some way to what you love to do. I wouldn’t confine yourself to something involving math simply because you are good at it. Think about what makes you the happiest, and find a way to make it into a career. For example, I like literature and helping people…so I got a degree in English Education. Now I teach part-time and work full-time as a professional writer. You want to do something that you love, not something just to make money. When picking your major think about what it can lead to, and if what it qualifies you for is something that you want to do for the rest of your life. Think into the future.

You should try going for architecture. I think you would enjoy it and there are ways to learn how to draw and draft. I don’t think that you should let not “being artistic” stop you from architecture. You may be able to design a building and not have to draw it.
