Sociology, education, health education, human services, psychology are all excellent majors if you’re interested in drug and alcohol rehabilitation. These are also excellent classes to take in high school. When you’re applying to colleges, look into the best programs in your state, or when you get to college, look into the above departments to see what suits you best.

Social Work or Counseling would be your best bets in your undergraduate studies…As for high school courses, I would recommend psychology if its available to you, English, and of course all of the math and science you can take, in addition to computer literacy courses. Make sure that you do well on the ACT and any entrance test your college requires (especially math and reading sections) you don’t want to waste your freshman year of college taking remedial courses because you weren’t up to par on math or reading skills!!
