I want to become a pediatrician when I grow up. What high school classes, including electives, should I take?

Take a lot of science classes, especially biology and chemistry and human anatomy. Take as many math classes as you can too. As far as electives, it helps if you have child development courses too. If they don’t offer that in high school then you should just take electives that you’ll enjoy.

Regardless of what type of physician you want to become, a firm background in science will serve you well. Take as many courses in chemistry, biology, and physics as you can. Advanced math is usually a part of the Pre-Medical curriculum as well, so courses in calculus and trigonometry are also useful.

Take as many science classes like chemistry, biology, physiology etc… if you qualify, try to get into to the advance science classes (like AP Biology)
