No problem getting into pre-med. Your grades in pre-med will determine acceptance into med school.

3.5 is probably good enough to get into NW, depending upon which school you are attending now. (stanford? no problem. university of phoenix? dont even waste the postage.)

however, if you want to increase your odds you might try the following idea.

i assume you need to write a letter along with your application. if so, in the letter IF your GPA in those courses that directly relate to pre-med is higher than 3.5 then emphasize to the school how your over all GPA is NOT a good indicator of your abilities and future in med school.

instead, draw the school’s attention to how you have done well in those courses directly relevant to pred med.

if your poorer grades are in history, pol sci, etc. then let the school know that these grades are NOT indicators of your abilties.

good luck.

Sure, I think it is up there enough! Don’t be like a girl that I work with, she was too selective about the school she wanted and didn’t get in, she has been working a year and now waiting and applying to schools she really dosen’t care for. I am sure you can do it, good luck!
