I’m interested in a career in paleontology: what types of majors/degrees should I be looking for in a college?
I googled “degrees in paleontology” and found out that most paleontologists major in zoology or geology because very, very few schools offer degrees in paleontology. I was just wondering if anyone out there had any insight? Thanks.

You are on the mark about paleontology being a discipline that feeds off of geology and zoology. However, many students in paleontology can also study the following:
Environmental Science
General Biology
Genetics
Organic Chemistry
General Anthrolopology
While zoology and geology are the primary foundations from paleontology, the five aforementioned subjects may also prove useful if you seek other avenues to study. Good luck!
