Am I screwed???

Ok so I just finished my freshman year at a catholic high school. Im a very motivated student and up until now the lowest grade ive ever gotten was a like an 81. Then I got my last report card and got a 78 in Biology.

My number one dream is to go live in NYC and go to Columbia. Do you think they will look this far back and see my 78 and reject me?? Are my dreams ruined??

no im not overdramatic. im really worried.

I had mostly B’s and C’s in High School because I didn’t care back then. I never had trouble getting into college because my ACT scores were so high.

I also had no problem in grad school because my Miller Analogy scores were high.

I graduated a few years back with a PhD from a very prestigoius University.

You care about your grades so don’t stress over a C and you may get some more. it won’t effect your gettinginto college. Just always do your best.

If you end your High School studies with a GPA of 3.7+ and an ACT of 27+ you will get into most colleges very easily.

A college will look at your total high school career, but remember they do not have time to look at everything. What they look for is to see if you show indication of being able to handle the college work load at their university

Make sure to have some extracurricular activities.

If you are looking to be in the sciences/medical field you might want to study biology over the summer and pick up what you did wrong.

LOL! your not crushed OR screwed…but like i said before, you are just going through some anxiety right now. relax, chill, and just concentrate on what didn’t work this year. did you slack a little in your studies? did you hang out too much? remember…Ivy League means hard work…it isn’t easy getting into one; but you aren’t screwed. i had some bad freshmen year grades and got into UPenn…
