I Decided to go back to school this year and it has been traumatic…?

I am studying so hard that I am tired all of the time. I have no life and fall asleep studying, but if I stop, my loans will come due and I can’t afford it. On top of that someone stole my 150 dollar Chemistry Book! What should I do!?!?!?

The best advice I ever got in college was to take breaks. I didn’t believe it but when I got out more (not hard core partying) but going to a movie, etc…I was able to focus more and not feel so stressed. How are your note taking skills/study skills? Perhaps finding other methods that will help you not work so hard? I’m sorry about your Chem book. Can you borrow one from someone for the semester? Or, ask the prof if they may have an extra one? If not, you may have to buy a new one but check out Amazon or something where you can get a used one. Also, talking to your profs help a lot sometimes. Or, maybe getting a study group/study buddy going?

Best of luck.

See the school counselor immediately. You need to talk about this with a professional..prefereably one that works in the school system. As for the book, report it to campus police and look into buying a used one as soon as you can.
