One page. That should be plenty for recommendation. Be sure of your spelling and punctuation.

“It’s got to go on to the second page – that makes a statement,” one of my professors once told me. Everybody is going to have a one-page letter, but when a two-page letter comes in, that makes you look different and says there is something special about you. Always do two-page letters of recommendation, or “they’re not worth reading” (a different professor told me that).
