How long that is completely depends on the courses that you choose. Each course is generally worth 1 to 5 credit hours in a typical two-year college. I would say the average college class is 3 credit hours. Say you take 5, 3-credit-hour classes per semester, it would take you 4 semesters (2 years) to obtain 60 credits (or semester hours).

I hope this helps!

this is typically about 2 years of classes. So if you went to a community college for 2 years full time, and took classes at 100 and 200 numbered classes, and the classes were pretty typical for what a college or university would have you take to meet their requirements, you’ll be ok.

Examples:

1 or 2 english classes,

1 speech class

1 or 2 math classes

some science,

foreign language

history

humanities

all of these would probably count. if you took remedial courses in english or math, they don’t. if you specialized in art classes, only a couple will count (unless you major in it).

the transfer is immediate – you submit an official transcript, they evaluate it , then they tell you what they’ll take, and what they won’t. you’ll know all at once.

they want you to have at least 2 years of study at their institution, and that’s why they won’t generally give you more than 2 years of credits.

good luck –
