how long does it take to get a degree in…?

Either a degree (bachelor’s) in Business or Political science, and which one would be a better choice if I’m working for the state and want to move up to a Director’s position eventually? Or should I pursue a different degree for this plan?

You didnt say what country you’re in but in the US, most if not all bachelors degrees are 4 years long. But I know some countries like India and South Africa, its only three years. Goodluck to you.

All bachelors degrees take 4 years to earn. You did not mention in what capacity you are working for the state. If you had, I could have better recommended a major.

Without this knowledge, I can only say that either political science or business could be relevant to government operations. However, if you wish to direct a particular department, think about what that department does, and choose your major appropriately.

Best wishes to you.

A bachelor’s degree (doesn’t matter what your major is)usually takes 4 years, that is if you pass all your classes and attend Fall, Spring, and Summer. 12 units each semester and 6 units for Summer. If there is winter sessions open you should take that too and you’ll graduate faster. Political Science would probably be better for you. Talk to a school counselor and they’ll be able to help you.

I would go with Political Science with a Minor or possibly double major in Business too.

I say it really doesn’t my matter. Esp. if you make excellent grades, useful/relevant work experience, and clubs and stuff.

My suggestion would be Business since I am a practical person. Whatever you chose, I am sure you could get a minor in the other. It wouldn’t hurt and you will have to satisfy other education/elective requirements.
