The middle 50% SAT scores for accepted students are as follows:

Critical Reading:560 – 660

Math: 570 – 660

Combined: 1130 – 1320

If your SAT scores are close to or lower that 560 for reading or close to or lower than 570 for math, you should try retaking the SAT or better yet, try the ACT. A lot of people find the ACT easier, and it is shorter. Pitt will take either the SAT or the ACT. If you score above average on the ACT, the college will never need to see your average SAT score.
