How do i improve my finance concepts?
Any book suggestions?
I have failed in two finance subjects already, n my gpa’s goin down! i hate that! (Who doesn’t?) but i just don’t seem to be getting along with finance. Accounting is fine. it’s good. but finance! u kno those concepts of bonds n stocks n capital yield! Ew!

I wasn’t good at finance when I was in college. It turns out that I have to go back and review almost everything to understand how a company works, why is the salary plan like this, and a lot of other things. There was an old book about stocks investing that will help you. A book on financial planning and financial freedom will also help to get the basic concept of the finance subjects.
One of the easiest way is to make your own story. Let say you are building a business from scratch. At first you need capital, product, etc. Then when there’s sudden huge demand of your products, you will need to expand by using bonds, or stocks, or etc. When you finished the story and solve the problems in between of how to build your business empire, you are a financial expert. Good luck!

The best way to learn the concepts is to create formulas using the ones prebuilt in Excel. After using the “built in” formulas, take them apart and learn how they are calculated. Discounted cash flows, for example, is very easy to learn once you’ve mastered the art of creating them from scratch in Excel.
