Yeah my high school had the smallest lockers ever. And then they decided to “abolish” them, thankfully after I graduated, but still you couldn’t use the lockers. What I did for the first day of school was I just brought my purse (with a few extra pens and pencils in it), and 3-ring binder with some paper in it. The first day all you ever do is get your schedule (if you school doesn’t make them available/mail them before school starts), get your class syllabus and go over it, and then they always have all those papers for your parents to sign. So a binder is great to put all these papers in and the paper is there in case you get stuck with a teacher who likes to start lecturing on the first day. You don’t really need a big back pack full of all your stuff, especially if your lockers are so small.

A large hand bag with some extra pens and pencils, some paper, and a folder or binder to put any paperwork that is given out is all you need for the first day. And by the time senior year rolls around, that’s all you’ll bring every day. It’s funny but you can always tell what grade someone is in by the amount of stuff they carry around, at least at my school. The freshmen were the ones with big backpacks full of stuff, carrying books, and always had their ID around their necks. The sophmores are the ones with backpacks with some stuff and their ID hanging out of their pockets that they slip around their neck every time a teacher or principal walks by. The juniors are the ones who look like they’ve been up all night studying, walking around with nearly empty backpacks and their IDs lost somewhere in their backpacks, only fishing them out when asked to by a teacher. And the seniors are the ones who look like they’ve been up all night at a party or out late on the weekend, don’t carry a back but maybe a binder or folder or two. Their IDs are lost somewhere at home and they never bother to look for it. They walk casually down the halls not caring about the bells, looking like all they can think about is graduation.

Usually people at my school just bring a notebook and a pencil to take down some basic notes. The teachers will tell you when to bring the other supplies.

As long as you have what you need for each day, there’s no need to bring anything with you. In my highschool we just carried most of our stuff with us in book bags but I don’t recommend that. I’ve had back problems for years because of that. Probably after the first day you’ll realize the best way to handle your problem. Other kids will have figured it out and you can just do what they are doing.

typically on the first day just try to bring at least a notebook, and a pencil/pen. usually teachers will either give you a list or tell you what all you’ll be needing for their classes. relax and you’ll be fine.

Well, don’t bring too many stuff. It’s gonna be more nervous than preparing, so watch out. lol
