how can we calculate “X” percent in ranking students?
unlike primary school, not all students of this class will take the same classes for next semester, so how could we calculate the X percent?

Usually it goes by Grade Point Average. It will never be a completely equal measurement, because everyone takes different courses, but it’s an objective one.
