I was there until a decade ago. I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, I feel that it is increasingly becoming a diploma mill and that employers don’t respect it as much as they used to. I got a degree in electronics but the only job interviews I got were for help desk jobs, which I didn’t get because the interviewers told me I didn’t sound good enough on the phone. I feel the courses themselves were mainly aimed at students who already had some knowledge of the subjects but needed to build up on them. They weren’t really intended for total beginners. Another thing to consider is that the classes are very expensive and that the sessions are divided up into quarters rather than semesters. This means that classes are held at a quicker pace and the instructors are more likely to skip around the text books than go through them in order. If you really want to attend, by all means do so but keep in mind that they make more promises than they actually deliver. This was the first college I ever attended where I had to pay to get the diploma itself. It cost me $100. Years earlier, I had gotten an associate’s degree and it cost me nothing.
