your school will make sure you know medicine and medications; learn people. Understand they are often ill and in need of support, not just medicine

Perhaps the most important things to know if you want to be a pharmacist are organic chemistry, human anatomy, and specialized biology (cell biology, pathology, etc.). Organic chemistry is the “make or break” course, determining how your success will fare in the pharmacy curriculum. Make sure you have a firm grasp of anatomy and biology, but be certain that your understanding of organic chemistry is such that you come out with at least a “B” average. You will need to learn the structure and composition of many compounds and medicines, and that is why organic chemistry is so important. Good luck!
