Grades dropping?

Both my freshman and sophomore years i’ve had a 4.0 GPA. Now in my third (and final) year my grades are dropping. Its only 1st quarter (mid semester) and I have A’s in my honors courses, but B’s in all of my AP courses. I know that I’ll still have a 4.0 weighted GPA, but my inweighted GPA will drop. I know that colleges like to see an increase, not a decrease in grades. Even though my GPA will staty the same, will the B’s be frowned upon when my transcript is being looked over by admissions officers?

most likely not – as far as ap courses go, B’s are looked at as A’s. in other words, if this ap class were a regular class you would have an A. dont sweat it. you’re doing well.

That depends, are you trying to get into a really good college? Or are you trying to get into a good college with not as much publicity, where I go, as long as you maintained a C average through highschool, you would be fine, but I’m sure if you’re trying to get into a bigger school where admissions are limited the case would be different. You could try researching the college, or email the admissions office and find out.

Get onto the websites for the colleges you are interested in applying to, and see what their minimum requirements are for GPA and SAT scores..

Then look and see what scholarships, if any, you will be applying for and see what their GPA requirements are.

Generally the colleges look at your overall, cumulative gpa…you should be able to find that out on the college websites too.

That depends upon the colleges you choose as stated in other answers, but one thing I recommend to friends who are students, go to a health food store and get some DMAE. It is a natural substance and no side effects but it will help both your concentration and memory.
