Good engineering colleges?

(In the United States, of course)

When thinking about location (weather and surrounding city)

and curriculum (practical, not all theory based)

what engineering colleges come to mind? (besides stanford, MIT, CalTech…)

Thanks a ton!

Check out Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. It has been ranked #1 by U.S. News and World Report for the past nine years as the best bachelor or master degree in engineering.

Others that come to mind are Purdue and Cal Poly-San Louis Obispo

There is a very good (and very tough) engineering school in the midwest named

Rose-Hulman Institute of technology. It is located in Terre Haute, Indiana. You will have snowy winters and a really good education if you can get in. I have a brother that attended, I wasn’t good enough to get in.

Purdue Univ. in W. Lafayette, IN. The weather may not be all that great, but it’s a really good school.
