The best school to attend for your pre-med courses is the University of Michigan and then apply to the University of Michigan School of Medicine. The reason for this is that state universities are required to give admission preference to state residents. It will also be the lowest cost school for you, too.

Here are a couple of web sites that are worth visiting: http://people.howstuffworks.com/becoming-a-doctor.htm

This may not be the answer your looking for but what about raising your GPA a bit more go to a really good school outside of MI and then go back. Sometimes the best way to make it is to let your wings spead away from home a little bit. Im from MI so I at least have a good idea where your coming from. I live in Tn now and I know there is great schools here for that. Like Vanderbilt check it out its in Nashville.
