When you get to college as a student you take all the prerequisite classes. Math, English, Physical and Biological Sciences, History. Then you get to choose your elective classes once you’ve completed all of this you apply to the business college at your chosen school. How well you do in your prerequisite and elective classes determines whether you get into a business college. It does matter if the school is considered a good business college. Harvard has a wonderful business college, but you are paying for the name in the form of your tuition. State colleges and some of the smaller private colleges also have wonderful business programs. You have to choose what type of school you want to attend. Start thinking now about what type of college you want to choose. Think of tuition rates, class size, and college size. Also think of whether the college is a state, or private college or university that might help you make a choice easier later. Also consider the programs and if you are interested in what they will teach you. You’ve got a little while, so my advice is to take college tours with your parents while your in high school choose a state school, private school, and technical college and tour them all. Find out what your likes and dislikes are and then pick the best one you feel will allow and help you succeed throughout your college career.
