going back to school?

I want to go back to school, I was supposed to go to college right after i graduate high school but got a job, fell in love, had a baby, etc. well things just happened and i never did. But now that my baby is bigger and can understand more i want to go back to school and study. Im 23 yrs. (I know I’m a little old LOL). Anyhow, i want to be a nurse , how long do you think it will take to become a nurse?. i live in the bay area.

You are not too old to start back to school! I know people in their 50s and 60s just starting college.

To get an associates degree in nursing, it should take you about 2 years to complete. These are typically at community colleges.

To get a bachelors degree in nursing, it should take you about 4 years to complete. These are at 4 year universities.

There are also opportunities for graduate degrees as well.

I would suggest you see if there are any community colleges in your area that offer nursing as a degree track.

If you want to be an LPN it takes about two years, an RN takes about four.
