Getting into Dartmouth.. what’s going to make me shine??

I’m trying to get accepted to Dartmouth University this Spring, and I’m wondering what you’d think would be the gusto behind my application.. Grades, sports, internships, clubs, campaigns, etc.. What do you think? Thanks!

Oil and wax…hahahaha.

But seriously, the first step is getting the best grades you can (4.5, 4.6 or up). Volunteering is a major help too and it gives you something meaningful to write about in your admissions essay. Internships and leadership positions inside and outside of school show that you’re unique and gives you a leg-up on the competition. It sounds like you’ve already got a pretty good idea of what’s going on though.

Good SATs/ACTs and good essays are obviously a major factor too 😉

mirel; GO COOGS!
grades in relevance to the difficulty of the courses along with sats. ohh and class rank. honestly, the rest is bs. yes, schools look at if your well rounded, but that comes into play more for scholarships. look up the mean for the sat scores and gpa and class rank and try and hit that.
