Does having too many W’s on your transcript mean anything? What happens when you have too many W’s?

i have quite a few already, and i want to withdrawl from this class that i don’t understand the subject matter or the teacher, i’ve asked for help from other’s in the class and from the teacher.

i think dropping this class will relieve a lot of stress in my life, as this class is stressing me out a LOT.

so i have probably about 10 w’s already, does that affect anything?

i am going to school for business informatics, and business admin minor, business informatics was recently changed to its current name from information systems.

please help i would be so relieved if i dropped, i haven’t even completed any but one of the 3 homeworks that has been due thus far, and the one i did was a week late, and may not even count, i am just so lost in this class and it takes me so long to complete and catch up to do it. thanks.

Ask your adviser, and if he/she says it doesn’t make much of a difference, then do it. Why deal with the added stress that this class is causing? And especially why deal with the risk of getting a bad grade or even failing. You do what is right for YOU and don’t listen to anyone else….(except for me and your adviser, of course) ; )

Check your college’s catalog regarding W’s. They may have a limit on how many you can have.

If you use your transcript to try to gain admission to a graduate school, you may have a lot of explaining to do as to why you withdrew from so many classes. Same with a potential employer.

Too many W’s shows lack of commitment.

Good schools will not accept you because you show little follow-through.

When you register for classes, do so carefully. Do not over-burden yourself.

It definitely will mean that you won’t be able to graduate on time.
