Does anyone know if you need a degree to…?
get involved with social services or anything? i really wanna get involved in that type of work, and i’d like to gain experience in that field WHILE i’m going to school. is that possible?

Most of the time you need at least an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development, Social Sciences, or just about any degree under the Arts category. However, it’s not a requirement because I know people who’ve become social workers fresh out of high school with no experience. Pursuing a career in social services is like pursuing a career in business: It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.

Unfortunately the work you would be doing would be mostly volunteer work. Your degree would get you into the field of Social Work.
