I am a graduate of the program and i really felt like excelsior really helped me get the experience to help me pass state boards. A good idea is to check out some of the yahoo groups there is several for excelsior students.

I’m not sure about their nursing program, sorry.
I did a credit by examination course with them for education – they were very reasonably priced and anytime I called on the phone the people who worked there were very nice.
I found this website and it seems to have loads of information for nursing schools – hopefully this will help you see what others schools have to offer as well.
