Do you buy college books online?

If so, where?

If not, why not?

Half.com and amazon.com

I saved over $350 this semester by buying online. half.com varies when you get the books since they are all different sellers anywhere from 2 days to 12 days and amazon is more like 15-20 days

We buy both online and at the college bookstore.

We have bought from Alibris, Amazon and Textbooksnow.

We purchase at our bookstore if the prices are lower, or if its a hard book to find. Also for last minute class changes where we need a book right away.

Most of our professors require textbooks the first day so we always make sure we have them on that day.

I do now.

I found my books online at half.com for 75 cents, when at the store here they would have been around 150 dollars. I haven’t gotten them in the mail yet (ordered them last week) but they should be here tomorrow.

I tell my students to buy either online at half.com or amazon or check a previous student. The bookstores buy them back cheaply, then resell them for lots more. Save money!

half.com

Because they kill you with the prices at the college bookstore.
