Neither of my parents went to college and they do very well for themselves. A lot of blue collar laborers do really well also. It can make things a lot easier though.

Being successful is a mindset, unless you want to be a doctor or a lawyer or a teacher, something that requires college. Going to college doesn’t guarantee success. One can attain success just by being diligent and having goals and seeing them through. I think going to community college or a trade school is just as good for those who don’t want a high powered career.

There will always be examples of those who were successful without college, but the chances are so much greater for those who do go. Recent studies have shown that the average lifetime salary is $1 million higher, on the average, for those who graduate from college than for those who do not (and that includes those who went for a while and dropped out).

No it is not necessary, and just because you d go it doesn’t guarantee anything. The best way to be successful is to find something you like that pays well and figure out who to go about getting it.
