wow sounds like you blew your chance big time. if you have done extra or co-curricular activities (many of them) sports and volentering for charities then you might still have a chance, but if you havent then i doubt youll get into a university. go to a junior college then re apply for the universtiy with 4.0 gpa and many many many many extra and co curricular activities. dont slack at the junior college

It depends on how bad the “really super bad grades” really are. If your overall GPA is decent, you can still get into some school. Here are some important things to focus on:

Do well on the SAT/ACT exam. Study for it, take the practice tests, take any prep courses for it.

Seek out an internship; can you go assist in any non-profits, or youth organizations, or anything geared toward the area of study you want to focus on in psychology?

If your plans are to be a psychologist, then you have to go to grad school. Once you are in college for your undergrad, be sure to do really well in all of your classes. Even more so, be sure to be involved with Psy-Chi or the psychology department, and you will also need to get very involved in internships (these are VERY important.. grad schools will want to know that you have experience). If you succeed in doing those things and do well on your GRE exams, you will most definitely get into a good Grad School for psychology.

I wish you the best!

Hi:

It is certainly not too late for you to remedy whatever one semester’s foolishness may have done to your GPA. Your all-around GPA is indeed important, but it is not the only tool by which a college will base its decision regarding acceptance.

In the worst case scenario, you may need to redeem yourself by attending a community college for a year or so. There are very few institutions that will refuse credit for general survey courses taken at ‘smaller’ schools — particularly with outstanding grades dominating the transcript. What is important, is that your bad semester is seen as an anomaly in an otherwise unblemished educational record.

Good luck.

You’re probably best off going to a community college, getting good grades there, and then transferring into a four year school. Bad grades in your junior year have major impact on your admissions chances, and home schooling is often viewed with suspicion.

Well it depends how much you slacked off, maybe you could get into one of your state universities. Or just go to community college and transfer later.
