My first semester of my freshman year of college I partied WAYYY too much (5 nights a week, if not more) and would show up to class hung over or still drunk. I ended up getting a 1.9 for the semester. My advice to you is to not do what I did and try to get a good balance of partying and school and not go out TOO much to the point where its hardcore effecting your grades.

DC is right on- there are whatever you want, but if you get too mixed up in them, you will wind up either thrown out of school, with a huge fine and court dates, or low grades (probably all of the above). College isnt like high school- its a hell of a lot harder. There are parties, but the cops also know where to find them.

Just, keep your cool. If something seems weird and you shouldn’t be doing it, you probably want to leave the situation.
But have fun – go out and enjoy yourself. Above all do your homework and study – but reward good work with fun times. If you’ve got your schoolwork done, just enjoy yourself.
Be careful about drinking too much… Don’t try to show off and pull off more than you can handle. Going to the hospital isn’t cool.

Yo Dog-
First, lower your expectations… these are not like “girls gone wild”
Keep your ears open!! Ask where the parties are… AND show up with something… not empty handed!
