Common application for college?

I’m in the middle of filling out all of my college applications, and I want to make sure I’m doing it right. I really don’t want to ask my guidance counselor since he’s an idiot and he told so many girls to do the wrong thing last year. Anyways, my real question is this:

** when I’m filling out the common appliction for college, do I have to fill in the entire circle or can I just put an x in it? any help would be appreciated! thanks!

Real people are reading your application. Just make it clear so that they will understand.

I personally found filling out the common app online was much easier and neater.
