To even be considered for admission to Columbia you need to have taken two SAT Subject tests(or two SAT II’s, they are the same thing). Test scores aren’t everything. Everyone has the same test scores and especially the same GPA. Its the extracirriculars that set you over the top. If you are worried about getting in, DONT apply early decision. You have a likelier chance of standing out in regular decision. My advice: take the 2 SAT Subject tests in October or November and apply for regular decision. You’ll have more time and have a greater chance of getting in. Oh, and apply online.

It would be your best bet to apply for EARLY DECISION. If Columbia is your first choice, apply NOW. If they don’t accept you can always call up the admissions office and ask their reason for denying you.

***Just think: If you don’t apply, you may spend the rest of your life wondering whether or not you would have gotten accepted. No need to fear rejection, millions of people have been turned down prior to you!!!
