Get a planner/organizer and write down what you have to do for school and your work schedule–be consistent about this. If you’re a good student, 14 credits is good for your first semester. A sorority is a good place to meet people, as long as you don’t get caught up in the partying aspect of it (if there is one).
As far as the job goes, work no more than 20 hours per week. Numerous studies have shown that working more than 20 hours will correlate with your grades dropping. I’ve worked more than 20 and it’s hard but I have excellent time management skills (when I want to lol). If you don’t really need the money, stick to 10-15 hours/week and you should be fine. It’s good to have a little job experience during school anyway.
Good luck on your first year; I hope all goes well for you!
